The Project
The EntrEUth project is aimed at nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among young Europeans, particularly those with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs).

The project's overall objective is to support European young people's sense of initiative in entrepreneurship with a special focus on young people with SLDs.
This objective will be achieved by promoting entrepreneurial education through engagement and awareness-raising on the topic, via digital tools, methods, and techniques that are tailored to the needs of those who suffer from SLDs.
More specifically, this project pursues other specific objectives:
– Develop effective entrepreneurial skills development strategies for people with SLDs.
– Enhance inclusivity of EntreComp framework with the specific focus on young people with SLDs Recognizing the need for sustainability in all aspects of the project, the consortium has committed to incorporating environmentally conscious practices throughout the project’s lifecycle.
The EntrEUth project addresses the significant barriers faced by young people with SLDs in accessing entrepreneurship opportunities in Europe. Recent Eurostat surveys (2019) highlight the disparities between people with and without disabilities in terms of self-employment and unemployment rates. The self-employment rate for individuals with disabilities in the EU is 29.5 percentage points lower, while the unemployment rate is twice as high. Additionally, a European Commission report (2020) points out that people with SLDs or disabilities are underrepresented in self-employment and entrepreneurship, with only 4.6% of self-employed individuals reporting these conditions (Eurostat, 2019; European Commission, 2020). The statistics underline the urgent need for targeted initiatives that support the development of entrepreneurial skills and competencies among young people with SLDs.
The EntrEUth project aims to fill this gap by promoting youth entrepreneurship for individuals with SLDs, thereby fostering social and economic inclusion for this demographic.
The scientific community advises that with appropriate support, young individuals with SLDs can not only achieve professional success in entrepreneurship but also benefit from enhanced inclusion in society. Simultaneously, society as a whole can gain from increased engagement in entrepreneurial activities led by diverse individuals, including those with SLDs.
The project consortium comprises partners from Greece, Romania, Italy, Belgium, and Bulgaria, bringing together expertise in youth entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, and social innovation. By leveraging their diverse perspectives and experiences, the consortium aims to develop effective strategies for enhancing entrepreneurship skills among young people with SLDs.
