Lesson 2

Launch – Build Your Pitch

Make it make sense – clear, simple, real.

You’ve got a story. You’ve got an idea.  Now let’s help people understand it fast.

This lesson walks you through building a pitch that makes your idea click. No fluff. No business lingo.

Your Steps Today:

1. Watch the video above.

  • What makes a great pitch (hint: it’s not fancy slides)
  • 5 key parts every pitch needs
  • How to explain your idea in under 2 minutes

2. Use the pitch template from your toolbox. Fill in:

  1. Hook – Grab attention. A bold question, fact, or personal line.
  2. Problem – What’s wrong or missing in the world? Make it relatable.
  3. Your Idea – What are you building to solve it? Simple. Clear. Visual.
  4. Who It’s For – Who needs this and why? What do they get out of it?

Why You? Why Now?  What makes this moment—and your voice—matter?

3. Reflection prompt – “What part of my pitch feels strong? What part feels scary?”

Write 1–2 sentences in your Reflection Journal.

  • (Optional) Upload a 60-second audio test run or practice pitch
